Why we do what we do

There are two ways to explain what drives our work at DMID. First - we love a good challenge and we find that good design is always a stimulating challenge. The result is that we love to find new ways to make technology work for people so that they can do the things they excel at without being hampered by the technology.
Second - we believe that technology should work around people rather than having people work around technology. As new technology becomes available it has been common for people to change the way they work based on what the technology can do. In the case of software we prefer to find ways to manipulate the technology to reinforce practices that have proven to be effective. We also believe that those processes will be different for each office and each industry. We strive to enable individuals in their unique situations without having to conform to the biases of whatever set of tools they have been exposed to.
